Baby Shark's Big Movie! (titled 아기상어 극장판: 사이렌 스톤의 비밀(Baby Shark the Movie: The Secret of the Siren Stone) in Korean) is a 2D-animated film based on Baby Shark's Big Show!, that premiered on Paramount+ in December 8, 2023.[4]

Synopsis[]

Baby Shark is forced to leave the world he loves behind after his family’s move to the big city, and must adjust to his new life without his best friend, William. When Baby Shark encounters an evil popstar starfish named Stariana who plans to steal his gift of song in order to dominate all underwater music, he must team up with ENHYPEN to break her spell to restore harmony to the seas.

Trivia[]

  • Ashley Tisdale, who voices Stariana in this film, is famously known for voicing Candace Flynn in the Phineas and Ferb animated series.
  • This is the second time where Sharki B, Offshark and Kulture Sharki appears, but this being with Wavey Shark.
    • The first being "The Seaweed Sway".
  • This is the second time where William gets hypnotized by the antagonist, this being by Stariana.
    • The first being with Baby Shark by Vigo in "Fishy Force".
  • When Stariana asks her magic bubble who’s the catchiest fish in the sea it’s a reference to Snow White’s evil stepmother asking her magic mirror who’s the fairest of them all is from the Brothers Grimm fairytale, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
  • This film reveals the following:
    • The star mark on Baby Shark's cheek means that he's the catchiest fish in the sea.
    • Mommy Shark has a friend named Leah Lantern Shark, and they use to be in a yacht rock group.
    • Daddy Shark's real name is Gerald.
  • This film takes place about the course of a month as seen when Baby Shark crosses off each day on his calendar.
  • This is the first time where Baby Shark and William got into an argument.
  • During the plot, a couple of scenes are shown where it demonstrate the function of the certain object, but in the scene where Stariana obtains it, its type of use is as a staff since the object has a thick stick embedded below in it.
  • In the storyboard, William was originally the one who takes off his fin-ship bracelet before swimming off after his and Baby Shark's argument. But in the final cut, it was changed to Baby Shark doing so[5].
  • Also in the storyboard, the boy band that was originally gonna be in the film was BTS, until it was changed to ENHYPEN[5].
  • In the song "Dive On In", one of the shark actresses look like the cats from the 1981 musical with the same name.

Errors[]

  • Baby Shark doesn't take his bracelet off when he gets on the top bunk bed. But when he buries himself under the plushies, his bracelet disappears.
  • At William's birthday party, the birthday cake has four candles. But when it's sliced into five pieces, each piece has a candle, showing that there are five candles.
  • When William arrives at Chomp City, he puts his shell phone away. But after he bumps into the red hammerhead shark, his phone reappears in his left fin.
  • During the song "Oceans Apart", when Baby Shark is looking through the pizza restaurant window, his star mark, which is on his left cheek, is on his right cheek through his reflection.
  • In the Chomptacular's Day and in the beginning of the song "It's My Ocean", a light brown shark with darker parts of its spine appears three times, the first among the other spectators of the Chomptacular's red carpet, the second among the other spectators of the Chomptacular and the third in the Chomp City's pizza restaurant.
