Hey all, we’re excited to announce that... we're hiring! If you’re in production and interested in working with Warp Media, please reach out! Things have been moving faster than even we expected. We’ve seen a lot of momentum on Warp Zone content, and will be ramping up production on socials. In addition, we are working on some great client projects and need support to help fill out numerous project teams.Key hires we’re looking for are producers, editors, and writers, as well as additional crew positions. We have both per-project gigs, and ongoing project gigs for the next 4 months. We're looking to hire people in the Los Angeles area (writers can be based elsewhere). And if you have any comedic sketch/narrative experience that's a huge plus!Feel free to DM me or email me at brian.fisher@warpmedia.com - I’d love to see examples of work for the positions you’re interested in. Thanks!

Did you know that the time gap between when GTA Vice City was released and now is longer than the time gap between GTA Vice City and its setting? That was the painful math we stumbled upon when creating our latest video, “When Your Favorite Game Is Now Retro” which racked up a staggering 23 Million views in its first week across all platforms - a Warp Zone record. Why did this video pop off? We think its secret sauce is relatability. In the video, we explore that feeling when you discover something you've loved is now considered old, and portray it with a quite literal “punch to the gut.” We also literally speak to a generation that came of age with cultural touchpoints like GTA Vice City and The Dark Knight. While relatability is linked to authenticity, it also taps into feelings that a general audience can identify with, inspiring deep connection and engagement that can add jet fuel to a video’s performance, and even a brand. In this video’s case, misery loves company, as many viewers who also felt the sting of our time revelation sought to share it with others. In addition to the views this video has received, the most surprising result has been the follower bump that has come with it. We saw 65K new followers across our socials, a number that’s outpacing what we’d typically expect from the views. This reaction shows that viewers who relate to the video, want to see more like it - even if it was painful 😂We’ve had 3 months in a row now with 20+ million views and hope to continue that momentum into the summer. With events like Summer Game Fest, VidCon, and Comic-Con kicking in we look forward to seeing many of you at these gatherings and sharing further insights in-person soon!#digitalmarketing #contentcreation #socialmedia #instagram #youtube #tiktok

We had the immense pleasure of working with Jersey Mike's Subsand Danny Devito on some awesome social content thanks to our amazing collaborators at Highdive, Hungry Man, Sibling Rivalry, and 1986 Studios.Shot on set of the commercial production for Jersey Mike’s recent ad campaign with Danny (which included the hysterical “Wakey Wakey” and “Can’t Fake It” spots), the Warp Media squad was brought in as the mercenary-esque B-team to capture a suite of vertical social videos for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook reels.Leaning on our 13+ years of experience running digital-savvy productions, we were able to put together an efficient shooting plan that was as out of the way from the primary commercial shoot as possible, while still being nimble enough to capture several scripted and unscripted content pieces as the filming opportunities evolved in real-time.Danny and the teams from Jersey Mike’s, Highdive, Hungry Man, Sibling Rivalry and 1986 Studios were a dream to work with. Check out a couple of our favorite pieces below!#digitalmarketing #socialmedia #contentcreation

In March, we racked up over 30 million views across all Warp Zone platforms - our highest monthly view total ever.Having been professional creators for over a decade, this was an exciting and surprising new milestone to hit.Accounting for performance across all platforms, each of our new videos hit over 500K total views, multiple hit over 5 million views, and one hit over 15 million views. 25 million views came from vertical formats. The month was capped off with this fun Helldivers 2 sketch, which so far has garnered 2 million views on TikTok, 1.9 million on Facebook, 800K on Instagram, and 500K on YouTube.I know this term is thrown around a lot, but I think this video truly is an example of how authentic content made for a passionate fanbase can amplify performance. Our writing team, Michael Schroeder and Michael Davis, have put in over a hundred hours into the game and have immersed themselves in the Helldivers community. This inspired them create a video that would both celebrate it and poke some fun at it.The result has been some of the most positive feedback we’ve ever received on a video. The comments have been overwhelmingly positive (a rare sight on social), it’s share to view ratio is probably the highest we’ve ever seen (it has 105K shares on TikTok, and it has more shares (80K) than likes (60K) on Facebook), and it has a high percentage of external views on YouTube, which is likely from people sharing it. Several commenters have even wondered if it’s an actual ad for the game, which considering our push to doing more client ad work, is awesome to hear. I think all of this feedback indicates that the video has resonated with the Helldivers audience.Another format we leaned into this month that saw some explosive viewership on Instagram (6.5 million views), was a new content series we started called Gaming In Your 30s, which well… also came from a very personal perspective. In a landscape that gets more and more saturated, this is a reminder that authentic content that can really resonate with a target audience has an increased chance of standing out. It sparks connection and engagement, which results in comments and shares that can help extend the reach of a video exponentially. It’s something that we’re mindful of when creating our own videos, and when working with brand and agency partners. We know it’s critical to do our research on the world of a brand before we put text to script, or action on screen. Otherwise, I can guarantee you the comment section on the Helldivers video would be a lot less friendly 😂Also, wanted to give a quick thanks to all of our collaborators on this video. It started with an awesome script from Schroeder and Davis, followed by amazing on-set performances from Davis, Scarlet Sheppard, and our DP, @Ferguson Sauve-Rogan, and then culminated with the finishing touches of the dream team post squad of Chance Cole and Richard Cabrera.#contentcreation #socialmedia #digitalmarketing #helldivers

We’re Instagrammers now?? Well, after getting 1M+ views on each of our past 3 uploads… maybe. The Warp Zone team has always been open to shift our strategy and try out different types of content, formats, and platforms in order to flow with the ever-changing tides of digital content creation. We’ve done this for years, whether it be making acapella videos or trying out Facebook Gaming, but some recent changes have been our biggest yet.Over the past 5 months, we’ve transitioned to a vertical-first model. Though YouTube has long been the first priority for our content strategy, as the platform has shifted more and more towards favoring long-form content, our style of videos have been at a disadvantage. This shift to vertical-first thinking has changed how we develop and design our videos from both a creative and production process, and has led us to experiment with uploading on YT Shorts, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram reels, and believe it or not, even Snapchat. And now, we are seeing that change to a vertical-first mindset start to pay off. Over the past couple months, we’ve seen some explosive performances on our TikTok with videos hitting 8.4M and 2.4M views, as well as a higher floor on all uploads. Most recently, despite not having much of an Instagram presence for years, our past 3 videos have combined for over 10M views on IG reels. We are also seeing success on FB reels, and growth on our Snapchat (which we started from scratch).Who knows where this will go (Meta is notorious for quickly shifting their platform focus) but after seeing stagnant viewership on our YouTube channel as well as many of our OG YT peers, this is a welcome sight to see and a good reminder as creators to keep experimenting and be open to new platforms and mediums. Just because something isn’t finding an audience on one platform doesn’t mean an audience isn't ready and excited to view it on another. This experimentation not only helps us stay up-to-date on content strategies for our original work, but it also makes us better collaborators, and we’re applying this knowledge in our consulting and production work for agencies and brands as well. Are others seeing these trends on TikTok and Instagram? We’ve been saying that it feels like the type of content we loved from YouTube over a decade ago is starting to surface again on other platforms. Examples that come to mind are comedy music acts like Kyle Gordon and Lewberger.#instagram #tiktok #contentcreation #socialmedia #digitalmarketing

🏈 Here's a fun Super Bowl-related project the Warp Media team had the pleasure to work on. For our latest production partnership with Fandom - building off of their creative, we wrote, produced, and did post on this 30-sec Agent State Farm "Honest Ad." The ad is a response to the Agent State Farm teaser trailer that dropped a couple of weeks ago, and this Honest Ad ran across several Fandom channels to help build anticipation for the ultimate Agent State Farm Super Bowl commercial starring Arnold Schwarzenneger. The goal was to engage Fandom’s audience by leaning into the movie trailer aspect of the ad campaign, and humorously play off of the agency’s teaser narrative leading up to the Super Bowl that Agent State Farm might actually be a real movie… OR it might be a Super Bowl commercial.Working on this definitely made for a fun watch of the final Super Bowl spot. Thanks to our awesome partners at Fandom for bringing us on!#digitalmarketing #videoproduction #superbowl

Hard to believe it's been 4 years, as this used to be an annual event for us, but excited to go and reconnect - we're open for meetings and would love to get some face time if you'll be down there too!
