Position Summary:
General Overview
The Accounting/Payroll/Bookkeeping Clerk must be knowledgeable, disciplined, and process great work ethic to add to a team. The individual must have previous accounting and Payroll background. Candidate must be able to work independently, be self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
The overall purpose of this position is to ensure accurate accounting, Payroll and bookkeeping services, manage construction project budgets. This individual will be responsible for assisting in safeguarding the assets of the organization through account analysis and regular monitoring of financial transactions.
Candidate must be experienced with QuickBooks software, account reconciliations, budget development and tracking AR and AP processing and very skilled int he use of excel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
AP/AR
Cost Coding for projects
Reconciling Bank Transactions
Ensuring proper revenue and expense recognition
Maintaining and Reviewing Project Budgets and providing reports to reflect project status.
Maintaining a work in progress report
Request new vendor documents to be entered into accounting software.
Provide various compliance items to awarding entity for projects.
Maintaining and Monitoring account analysis and reconciliations and resolving reconciling items and issues in a timely manner.
Pay and Apply payments in accounting software.
Preparing, reviewing and uploading monthly journal entries for month end close.
Reviewing documents/reports and being able to identify any discrepancies and being able resolve variances in monthly preliminary Financial Statements prior to distribution.
Prepare documents for various audits as requested.
Creating and maintaining key process flows related to position.
Verify timekeeping information.
Able to solve any payroll issues in a timely manner and run weekly payroll.
Reporting weekly Certified Payroll Reports through LCP Tracker.
Report and Pay Union Fringes
Reporting Skilled and Trained for applicable projects.
Maintaining strict confidentiality.
Answer to employee questions or concerns regarding their payroll
Other duties as assigned.
