Our client is looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic (Off-Road) Shop Foreman for their Lougheed Alberta location, who is a hands on leader to manage technicians and diligent enough to oversee the day to day operations in a manufacturing and production environment.
Our client is a leading provider of heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair services. They specialize in servicing of Heavy Duty machinery.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreman (with a journeyman or red seal in Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic Off-Road ticket) to lead their team of dedicated mechanics. If you possess a strong work ethic and can be entrusted to run a productive workshop, then this role is for you.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:

Supervise, mentor, and lead a shop of Heavy Duty Mechanics, including 3 apprentices.
Conduct annual performance reviews and participate in hiring and firing decisions.
Create, coach, and hold the team accountable for KPIs and work orders.
Train and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
Schedule and assign work orders, ensuring efficient use of resources and time.
Track billable hours and address any payroll discrepancies.
Manage work order scheduling, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
Collaborate with the parts team to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Support dispatch on field mechanic work orders.
Engage with clients to build and maintain strong relationships.
Work with the sales team to address any service-related issues.
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting for the shop's performance.

Qualifications
What you bring:

Journeyman or Red Seal Ticket in Heavy Duty Mechanics - Off-Road / Heavy Equipment Technician (mandatory).
3+ years experience in agriculture equipment maintenance (combines, tractors, seeders, bailers, etc.) preferred
Strong leadership and motivational skills with experience managing a team.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle business development tasks and client interactions.
Experience in creating and maintaining KPIs and managing work orders.
Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
