Remote and hybrid work isn't just a trend, it's the future. The uptick in LinkedIn postings to 12.8% for entry-level jobs signals a shift. Companies are realizing flexibility isn't just a perk, it's a magnet for top talent. As we adjust, the smart grads will leverage this to pick roles that offer growth, balance, and a competitive edge in this evolving work landscape. Adaptability is key. #futureofwork #hiring #newgrads

You know it definitely isn’t a trend.I imagine it like the early days of another professional debate leggings aren’t pants.People said, “leggings aren’t pants,” but eventually, we had to accept that this was a fruitless battle if you will haha.I view remote & hybrid work the same way. As we continue to navigate this new territory boldly going where no where has gone before. The savvy among up will seize the opportunities that remote or hybrid roles offer.Adaptability is the name of the game here.Just like we eventually embraced leggings, we’ll see remote or hybrid work becoming an integral part of our professional lives.Embrace it, leverage it, & prepare to thrive.

Couldn't agree more, Brian! 🙌 The rise of remote and hybrid gigs is changing the game. Not only does it mean we can work in our PJs (joking...kind of), but it also means there's a whole new playing field for snagging top talent. For grads, it's like being a kid in a candy store - so many options! But here's the kicker: Companies need to step up their remote culture vibe or they'll be left behind. It's all about adaptability on both sides.

Couldn't agree more, Brian! 🚀 Remote and hybrid work setups are changing the game. It's like we're all getting a front-row seat to the future of work unfolding right before our eyes. Companies jumping on this bandwagon are not just cool but smart too. They're grabbing top talent by offering what really matters - flexibility and balance. Here's to more power to choosing how and where we work!

Here’s the deal, gang: "Quality over quantity" might be great for your martini, but for your job search? It’s a trap. Think of it this way: you're at bat, the more swings you take, the better your chances of hitting a home run. Applying to just a few jobs? That’s like swinging once and hoping for a grand slam. Not happening. So churn out those applications, rack up the interviews, and refine your game. It’s not about being perfect off the bat, it’s about getting good through relentless practice. Hustle over polish, every time. #careertips #careersearch #hiring

Good morning, New Grads! Alright, let's dive straight into the LinkedIn playbook for new grads: 1. Profile Pic: First impressions count. Get a professional headshot, not a cropped group photo from last weekend's bash. 📸 2. Headline: Don't just list your degree; highlight your aspiration. "Aspiring Data Analyst with a Passion for Big Data and Machine Learning" beats "Recent Grad." ✍️ 3. Summary: This is your elevator pitch. Be bold, be sharp. Convey your skills, passions, and what you bring to the table. 💼 4. Custom URL: Clean this up. A URL with your name only is sleek and professional. No more random digits. 🔗 5. Skills Section: Load this up with relevant skills. The more endorsem*nts you can get from peers or mentors, the better. 🏅 6. Recommendations: These are gold. Get a few from professors, past employers, or anyone credible who can vouch for your work ethic and smarts. 🌟 7. Experience: Even part-time jobs or internships count. Detail your responsibilities and achievements. Quantify results if possible. 💪 8. Education: Beyond your degree, list any relevant courses or projects. This shows your areas of deeper knowledge or special interest. 🎓 9. Engage Wisely: Comment on posts, share interesting articles, and write your own posts. Keep it professional and insightful, not controversial. 🗣️ 10. Join Groups: Be part of industry groups. It’s a great way to stay updated and network with professionals. 👥 11. Follow Influencers: Get insights from sector leaders. Occasionally comment on their posts to increase your visibility. 👀 12. Use Keywords: Think SEO. Pepper your profile with keywords relevant to your desired field. Helps in popping up in searches. 🔍 13. Volunteer Experiences: Show you're well-rounded. Include any significant volunteer work or leadership roles in organizations. 🌍 14. Projects: Highlight any projects or portfolios, especially those that showcase relevant skills or innovations. 📁 15. Stay Active: Update regularly. A stagnant profile suggests a stagnant career. Keep your achievements and profile fresh. 🔄 Put these into action; you won't just be another face in the crowd. You'll be the face people remember and want to connect with. LinkedIn is more than a platform; it's a tool to sculpt your burgeoning career. Use it wisely. 🚀 #newgrad #advice #linkedin #careers #hiring #interns #internship

If someone graciously offers to review your resume and critique it, take them up on that offer. Listen to their feedback, edits, and suggestions on what could be changed. Having those conversations will open your eyes on what you could highlight more, things you are selling yourself short on, and how to appeal to a specific company. Never stop learning.

Last night, I attended a dinner for HR leaders and one of the most in-depth topics we discussed was the ascendancy of artificial intelligence. AI represents a tectonic shift that portends significant changes across all sectors, including recruiting. The very fabric of the recruitment industry, traditionally woven with human judgment and personal interaction, is now being infiltrated by AI, capable of automating what we once considered exclusively human domains. #AI #artificialintelligence #recruiting #hiring https://lnkd.in/eXS4-jRi

Leadership in recruitment is about much more than filling vacancies. It’s about setting a vision for how talent acquisition can drive the company forward, embodying the values the company stands for, and leveraging relationships and technology to build a workforce that is capable, diverse, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. A recruiter who can do these things is not just a leader in their department—they are a leader in their company. https://lnkd.in/ep3XJiDk

Mental health is the linchpin of job search success. It's not just a box to check; it's the fuel that drives your engine. In a high-stress ordeal like job hunting, ignoring mental wellness is like heading into a hurricane with a leaky boat. Prioritize it. Therapy, meditation, exercise—whatever keeps you sane, do it. Employers want horsepower, yes, but resilience and mental clarity are your real ace cards. Don't underestimate them.

Think LinkedIn's your magic carpet to career nirvana? Please, let's get real. Here’s the unvarnished truth, not the usual claptrap. 🔴 Stop Kissing Up: It’s a pandemic of sycophancy out there. You think flattering the big fish will get you noticed? You’re just one of the legion. Instead, be bold, speak truth to power. It’s time to disrupt the echo chamber with your own voice. 🔴 Your Profile? Make It an Odyssey: Turn that predictable list of job titles into a compelling narrative. When did you spectacularly fail and what did you learn? What makes you the odd one out in your field? Narratives resonate; bullet points put us to sleep. 🔴 Crack the Algorithm: Skip the mundane industry updates. Post content that grabs eyeballs—think videos, infographics, polarizing questions. Make the system work for you. Stand out, make noise, get seen. 🔴 Network with Peers: Enough with the vertical climb. The real opportunities often come from sideways—your peers. These are the folks who’ll rise alongside you and might just nudge you towards your next big break. 🔴 Be a Connector, Not a Leech: Drop the desperation act. Start being the person who offers help without expecting a quid pro quo. Good karma tends to circle back. Be that memorable benefactor. 🔴 Embrace Continuous Learning: Everyone claims they’ve got skills; few continually refine them. Dive into LinkedIn Learning. Show off your relentless pursuit of knowledge. Employers aren’t just looking for skills; they’re investing in growth mindsets. 🔴 Personalize Your Outreach: If you’re going to reach out, at least make it feel personal. Do your homework. Make them feel like they’re the only one who matters. 🔴 Stay Relevant: Tie your professional life to current events. Don’t just be informed—be pioneering. 🏁 Here’s the bottom line: LinkedIn isn’t just a job search tool; it’s a platform to sculpt your professional identity, to build not just a network but a legacy. Don’t just join the game—redefine it. Be audaciously, unapologetically you. That’s how you secure not just any job, but the job.
