5 jaar De Cronos Groep vandaag. 5 jaar échte arbeidsvreugde (met ups en downs natuurlijk...)Sinds januari kreeg ik ook de kans om met extreem ervaren cronosiet Tom Decan een project op te starten. Een project van mezelf, voor Cronos en hopelijk op termijn ook daarbuiten. Bedankt om in mij te geloven (Sam, Jef, Wim, Tom, Rutger).Bedankt voor jullie inclusiviteit en steun De Cronos Groep en Cronos Care en HR (Samira Hamdaoui, Veerle Rovers , Ilse Potloot ) en voor de aanpassingen voor deze autist. After work, i´m a boxer. I discovered this sport 4 years ago, just before corona. In my youth, I used to be an "elite" swimmer but pools don´t appeal to me anymore.I started out with Muay Thai. After the first training, I already fell in love. 2 years ago, I joined this group of "gentlemen"boxers as the only female in the group.I still loved it. Last year, on May 13, an accident happened: an acute hernia on c5-c6 level, due to my career in swimming. My neck looks like one of a 90yr old.I had surgery after 3 weeks of what then seemed to be excruciating pain. Afterwards, it was better for a few weeks but it quickly worsened again. After a few months I restarted boxing, though, in spite of the pain. Boxing clears my mind. It brings me focus. It rejuvenates my thoughts.In October '23 I went through all kinds of diagnostic researches for my pain but nothing helped. Diagnosis: Failed neck surgery with severe neuropathic pain syndrome. The daily routine was an 8 to a 10/10 in pain. No meds, no treatment really helped. Only boxing could bring my mind to another world for a swift moment during training. I had to give up Muay Thai. I still have boxing...Speaking today. Today I participated in the last boxing training before I will have surgery again coming Wednesday. I´m going to get a neurostimulator implant.I hope I will have less pain afterwards. Having no pain anymore, is a dream, I guess...The biggest hope I have, though, is that I can keep on boxing. Maybe somewhat less hard. But boxing nonetheless...Because all these men... and especially the sport... I carry them in my heart❤️🥊
