Hype Guy PostI was going to wait a hot minute to do a post for Aundrea De Leon but I love celebrating when people make big decisions and Aundrea just made a huge one!Recently, I got the opportunity to finally meet Aundrea in person at Business Made Simple headquarters (That's Aundrea between me and Donald Miller). I wish I got a selfie, but we'll use the group photo.Aundrea is the reason I'm doing Hype Guy posts. During the workshop, she led us through Why.os, and we did The Working Genius. I had made a joke about being a "hype guy" and then discovered my working genius is "the idealistic supporter." Aundrea asked, "What if for the next 12 months, you are a hype guy?"During that afternoon I could feel at my core Aundrea's fire for transformation coaching. So I was not shocked at all when I learned Aundrea made a big decision to return to being a full time coach.Aundrea, you get all the HYPE. You've had such a big impact on my transformation and development as a professional and as a coach. I am incredibly grateful to have you as a colleague in the coach community. You bring with you the unique skill of being able to kindly challenge people to be their best. The kind of skill that sounds easy when you read about it in books, but it's rare to feel in the present. I can't wait to see what you do next and how many people you help transform!

Hype Guy Post!!Suzanne Kelly is next up for a dedicated post now that I am embracing my inner Hype Guy. This photo is very special to me because I have not been someone who takes selfies, or likes seeing photos of myself, but I love this photo.A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to Nashville to spend 2 days with author Donald Miller the StoryBrand and Business Made Simple teams for a 2 day strategy workshop. This is Suzanne and I at a dinner at Don's Carriage House, a place he does events at his home. It was a very surreal experience.Suzanne gets a hype, because I was nervous to meet her. I've been part of the StoryBrand and BMS world for 4 years and everyone is so great, but it leaves open the question: "What are they really like?" Suzanne was someone I hadn't interacted with in a while due to her role changes, and someone I thought was so great online she couldn't possibly be as nice as I thought she was.Suzanne was somehow 1000x cooler that I could have expected! I admire her for being really good at her job, and just oozing great energy. Over the course of the evening she reminded us that she had many facets to her personality aside from her job. She told a great story about having a panic attack before bungee jumping in New Zealand, talked about her improv class, and of course her cold-plunging spouse.There will be more Hype Guy posts from my time in Nashville, because it was surreal to be around a team that just lived what they teach to a level I have never experienced in almost two decades of working with businesses. Suzanne is someone who was very helpful to me when I was new (and afraid!) to the community and is just a wonderfully awesome and talented person who is going to help so many people be their best over the course of her career.Consider yourself hyped Suzanne!

Hype Guy Post!As I embrace my hype guy era as a business coach, I want to shout out my friend and collaborator Matt Geraghty, owner of Matty G Digital and co-host of Kawartha Small Business Podcast.Matt gets hyped up because he is one of the best digital marketers I've ever met, especially when it comes to executing the systematic things you need to do to get found as a local guide online. He will call himself a boring marketer, but it's boring because what he does is thought out, pre-planned, and executed on schedule. He's one of the few marketers I've met who doesn't run around putting out fires all day. He's methodical, consistent, and knows what he's good at.In addition to that, I love that he makes big bold decisions based on what he wants and what he wants for his family long term. He doesn't just talk about it; he launches into action and accepts the consequences. Matt continues to get better at his craft and it has shown in his business.Beyond that, he is a great partner to his spouse, Megan, and together, they are some of (or the) best parents I've ever met.If my hype guy era turns into a series, I'm starting here with Matt.
