It was our great honour to hostfirst CANSO Euro/Central Asia ANSPs CEO Summit, in Baku,Azerbaijan on24 of January 2024. The objective of this strategic Summit was to bring together Authorities Euro/Central Asia Asia's air navigation service providers (ANSPs) CEO’s , High level representativesof Transport industry and CANSO to discuss and address the challenges faced by our industry. Our aim is to identify collaborative solutions and strategies that will enhance air navigation services, improve safety, efficiency and capacity, and foster growth in the aviation sector. The establishment of this new cooperation aims to Enhance a common understanding amongst Euro/Central Asian ANSPs of the key challenges facing the region and identify common solutions, as well as develop and establish a collaborative decision-making process.

Am interesting and fair write up by Christian Wolmar.It is hard to understand why completing the electrification between Didcot and Oxford hasn't now happened given that it is already partially installed and the obvious benefits, especially given that the entire section is in constant use by local and national passenger services and heavy freight.On another point, the following link looks at why Europe seems unable to match the United States' Silicon Valley with connectivity being sited as a key reason. With the development of East West Rail, there is the opportunity to create a unified Science and Tech accommodating service taking in the various areas around Didcot as well as Bristol and Cardiff with their universities and burgeoning science/tech hubs.https://lnkd.in/emYwisEy
